So in order to help increase my writing skills one of the main things I can do is write even when I don't always have the ambition. This blog is a way to update friends and family as well as expand understanding on how I feel and view things.

That being said, this has been a topic that people ALWAYS like to bring up with me. Some people get offended when I say I do not want to have children even BEFORE I say anything. I hate to tell you, but just because I do not want to have children does not automatically put me in the category of I immediately hating kids. I don't. But I do have very strong values and opinions on kids and raising them when it comes to ME.

This particular blog isn't about criticizing parents. It's not about what I feel is the right way to "parent". This is about ... Read more »

So it's been about a month since I've written my last blog. There has been a lot going on.

A few days after my last blog entry family came down to visit us. It was nice to spend time with family and go to places that I haven't ventured to. It's really true that you never know what's in your backyard especially if you live in city. The city life is busy and noisy. And after being here eight months I think it's safe to say I'm not a city girl. It's just not me.

Being close to stores is a huge plus but I grew up in a small town and it's due to that small town that a lot of what I write about relates to my childhood. And speaking of childhood I have been very nostalgic lately. Nostalgia has always been something that I love turning to. To simpler times or to remember something to calm the nerves. And speaking of nerves, the last week of April was quite terrifying.

I've been through some tornado warnings be ... Read more »

I am writing again outside enjoying the sunlight, longer hours, and warmer weather. I decorated the porch today with adorable wind chimes I got at the Dollar Tree.

There has been a lot going on in the past two weeks. Part of it felt like there wasn't a lot going on, yet, you know when you look back on a week's worth of material (a.k.a your life) you will ALWAYS find something noteworthy. I found more items for my soap makin ... Read more »

All of today we have been under a tornado watch. Thankfully, we haven't had a storm yet and less than three hours till midnight when the watch, hopefully, ends and isn't continued. I spent some time outside writing earlier and I was working on Melissa's T.R (test run). I'm getting so very close to the closing for her backstory. It's really exciting. I started writing hers in August, picked it back up in November and have been writing hers since. Nearly 28 pages so far, and about 6 months in the making of writing. Originally, I had planned for her T.R to be like the character Krystal's which was only 3 pages and I wrote that in one night. However, the more expande ... Read more »

I am currently sitting outside on our balcony/porch, we live on the second floor so we have a balcony like area but it's more like a porch. Either way though, I'm definitely grateful for it. The weather is confusing. The reports so far keep saying that it will just be a cloudy day but there are some dark bluish gray clouds nearby. I wonder if it will start raining. I finally got my butt outside to write and yet writer's block seems to get in the way.

I read recently that when you have writer's block the best thing you can do is...write. Even if it does not make sense or relates to the project you are stuck on. You see, I have the basic plan of how I want th ... Read more »

Today I received some orders for my soap. This hobby has definitely taught me patience. Patience with a lot of things, people, organization, writing, and patience with myself. It's nice and difficult at the same time. But with everything, God continues to show that He is in the midst.

Recently, I've been putting scripture to the test. I started to tithe monthly earnings. It feels good to give back what God has given me. I also started to pray with a friend at a particular time of day. So that both of us are praying in sync and Jesus says where two or more are gathered He is there also. I believe He hears me.
